Stagnant Flow

Just like the way time passes by, the river flows. Right now, the flow feels so stagnant... like a glacier river.

The headlines recently depicted many things. The death of Osama bin Laden on the hands of US Navy SEALs (I don't know for sure but there are a lot of conspiracies if you do read the news), the rebel Libyans' struggle against dictatorship, the political chaos in Malaysia and many other incidents. Everything is in a rush. A mad and chaotic dash for a non-existent finish line.

As I read all these news, I feel the time moving ever so slowly. I feel myself hovering forward with time without making the slightest movement. I feel insignificant in this world, an invisible presence. I concluded that I lack achievements. Recently, I've done nothing to boast about. Nothing to be proud of. Just a monotonous and routine life.

From here, I understood how one can get depressed so easily. Especially those with a job.

And right now, I feel horrible. I feel like an unappreciative brat who whines always. I do know I have a lot of things in life to be grateful about. But right now... I just feel so... empty.

Others can see what you have but you can't because your eyes can't see what's behind you, unless you turn around and analyse. Problem is, how many are willing to do so? Its a competitive world out there, no spare moment for you to stop and ponder upon your past.

Here's something and a song I find suitable to go along with the mood.

And now as I slowly wallow,
Into the abyss with no end.
My interior feels so hollow,
Feelings I wish to comprehend.

Stop and stare...

ToastPC Masters Fair 2011

Both Toastmasters camp and PC Fair starts today. 22042011.

I have to fetch my brother to the bus station cause he's attending the camp. And its so early. Around 6.30AM. Free breakfast though, so I'm not gonna complain much. :)

My part time job as a Epson printer promoter at the PC Fair 2011 starts today also. Take a look at my work attire.

I'm a Liverpool FC fan, fyi
I hope I get to sell loads of printer and get to cash in on the commission. ($_$ )

If any of you readers are interested, go read up on all the controversies about 1Malaysia email. It's hilarious, imo.

Hopefully, I am starting to have a constant number of readers and rising. Gonna apply for Nuffnang or some ad company soon. I love earning money. :)

Eventfull

I woke up this morning blurry and rejected Raymond's call twice which is not a good thing because people hardly give me a call. Not to mention it was rude because I answered his call while I was brushing my teeth. Not that he know of.

So we went shopping at the new Sing Kwong for supplies that are meant for the day's barbecue plans. Funny stuff happened throughout the shopping spree. Since the joint lacked wire mesh, we stopped by Farley to look for it. In the end, we found what we needed at a small general store at some unknown neighbourhood. And we drove to the venue without wasting anymore precious time. Fine weather we have today, we thought.

Arriving at our destination, Ivan and I were designated to locate the barbecue pits. Which we failed terribly at. We climbed up to the highest area and met some folks who were kind enough to give use directions. The kind folks had just performed a 'miring' ritual and was headed to the barbecue pit also. Drenched in sweat, we waited for Samuel and Raymond. They wandered off on a road trip while we were busy with our task. Seriously unfair!!! It's been awhile since I did any exercise so the journey of climbing up the stairs around the park is tiring as hell. LOL! Ivan's sweat pore works like a running tap so he was topless most of the time. I HAVE PICTURES!! AND VIDEOS, I think. XD

And so we moved everything to the picnic area. I was teased into carrying the heaviest of all the loads simply because I went to gym before. LOL! Once again, Ivan and I paired up as a team to start the fire. I think our teamwork kinda sucks because our attempts failed. Thank god the kind folks we met gave us a helping hand. Instead of using fire starters, they used young oil palm fruits which ignited more effectively. So next time when you guys are planning a barbeque, remember to use young oil palm fruits instead of some crappy fire starter which dies out in 2 seconds flat. :@

It took around 30 minutes for the charcoals to turn red. Yes, I know we are noobs at it. WTF. We were so worried about the fire dying out that we kept fanning like lunatics. While we were doing our stuff, the kind Iban folks have finished chowing down their meal. Looking at their barbecued chicken made my tummy rumble. I feel hungry thinking about it even as I type now. The strange thing is the children kept on howling like wolves. Which we made fun of and related them to the tribe in the Twilight series. Which was not funny an hour later. Another golden advice is never buy frozen chicken wings, especially those with purplish veins or have some feathers left. It is better to buy fresh ones although it might cost a bit.

The children bathed and continued their howling for quite awhile before the family left. The sky grew darker and darker as time ticked. I suspected the cause of it was either the 'miring' ritual (They wished for rain?) or the howling. And the cries of the children were answered around 2PM. Our barbecue was ruined. We had to evacuate to a shelter. Earlier just now, we were drenched in sweat. But now, we are thoroughly drenched by the rain. I hate it when my shoes get wet. Walking down the stairs with a huge box is difficult. Not to mention with all the water falling. We stopped at a small hut to wrap our cellphones with aluminum foil (which is a very smart move to keep your phones dry). Too lazy to talk about the day anymore so the pixs have to do it.

White hair?

Being a Sarawakian, you should very well know who I am referring to. Its a hot issue not only in Malaysia but the whole world. All over Earth, people are monitoring the political struggle happening right now.

I am going to talk about it from my perspective. I am not going to be biased like our daily English newspapers but don't blame them for they are entitled to their own opinions or just they're just plain scared because their license is on the line. Nowadays when you get your papers fresh off the stall, you will notice there's something unusual. It is thicker than usual and the headlines are related to politics. Right in the middle, you will get an extra special edition so-called supplementary news which provides you with an insight on the achievements of BN over the years.

If you are living in Sibu, you can see the whole town is decorated with posters and banners of contesting parties, mostly BN and DAP's (I have yet to catch sight of any other parties other than these two). Have no pictures as evidence but I assure you all I will get some soon.

Not to mention, you will get stuck in traffic jams quite often if the area you're passing through has a talk going on. I went to a talk by DAP candidates held just behind Rejang Medical Centre last night on 11042011. Although I arrived late, I was able to witness DAP candidate Wong Ho Leng and Nga Kor Ming who are the main attraction of the night's event. They are charismatic and have a good sense of humour, capturing everyone's attention and making the crowd listen to their every word intently. I can't get close enough to take photos of them though.

Right now as I write, there are propagandas being spread everywhere online. Beware of the news you receive. Do not trust blindly. I will update with a relevant video soon. 2.11AM and yawning like a donkey. Be sure to check for updates from me.

Here's a promo video which has gone viral. I'm sure most of you have watched it but I'm posting it for those who have yet to do so. Cheers~

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR~

Sibu clogged again

Guess when did I take this photo? If your answer is 22nd August then it's correct. Losers have to view my blog daily and bring in more readers by introducing it to all their friends. LOL! (The desperate things I do to attract readers. :D)

Hmm... This is not the time of the year when flooding occurs in Sibu, especially within 1 day. It's like PMS gone wrong and happening more frequently. And the flood is deep but since I'm a 'tall' guy, the flood level is barely above my knee. It shows how critical the situation is. And it is very uncomfortable for shorter people as their genitals get soaked. WTF!

Caused a small jam at Bukit Assek Road as everyone was trying to move their mode of transportation to a safer place and out of the flood water's reach. I did the same also. Thank god the gates of Sacred Heart Cathedral was open or else I can't drive my motorcycle out at all (Imagine driving the motorcycle with most of it in water).

Just as I was going to wade back, I saw loads of rubbish floating around. Thank the lord that nothing obnoxious or disgusting floating away without a care in this world is on the water's surface. The flood earlier this year had entrees such as plastic bag filled with leftovers, dung-filled diapers, rotten durian skin and more. Sorry for destroying your appetite. LOL!

The recycling centre (inhabited by the owner) and surrounding houses.

"Awh~ man... There goes my dinner. Where am I suppose to find a garbage bin laden with goodies?"

The lonely bicycle waiting for it's owner will have rusty rims soon.

So the cause of this flood? Some said it rained heavily in Kapit the other night and the downpour caused this flood. A friend of my mother's said the Bakun Dam cracked a little or something like that. The latter source is unreliable. I mention it just for fun. :)

I hope the flood clears up tomorrow. I don't want to stay holed up at home again. =.='''
Missed Saturday's Chemistry extra class and couldn't go swimming. Although I can drive my motorcycle, I still gotta wade through the awful toxic-like water (It's not just any ordinary Rajang river water when mixed with all sorts of waste).

That's all for today. More news today (It is past 12AM now).

Singapore, here we come... (Part 1)

I know it's been a long time but what the heck?? I'm busy. Messing up my life. LOL!

*sigh*

Here's something that's supposed to be out a long time ago. Enjoy~

Rejected by Tooth Fairy

I had a hard time trying to fall asleep. Woke up around 3am due to the extreme pain in my right jaw caused by a toothache. FML! Skipped school so I could visit the dentist ASAP!!!

When crossing the road to Sibu Gateway, I saw this banner. There was another banner just beside it but I didn't get the chance to take a photo of it. The banners were gone 2 hours or so later when my mum and I were on our way home. (=.= )

When I arrived at the doorstep of the dentist office, I was a little nervous (been awhile since I last visit one). Without taking a look at my oral cavity, he goes "Cannot cabut. Cannot lah, I tell you". WTF? So professional... He prescribed me drugs worth RM8 as shown below.

The Massa card proving that those drugs are legitimate and not just any searched image from Google.com

Ate a bowl of 'dian bian hu' for breakfast near my brother-in-law's bakery and spotted a very hot blonde with a toddler. I was distracted by her to the point where my mum and that blonde finished eating but I'm still halfway through. Shopped for groceries at Daesim and carried the load home, sweating under the hot sun.

Although I skipped school on Monday, I still went for PA's extra class that afternoon. Gosh! I am so devoted to my studies (I actually pondered on whether to skip the extra class too due to the minor flood XD). Here are some photos again. Too bad you don't get to see me dipping in the flood water.

The road to my house flooded. How did I go to school? By using a flying carpet!
Then there was this big event at the town square which is just behind Parkson in the evening. I don't know how to describe it but all I know is big shots in the Christian community came to preach and sing. I was a little reluctant to leave the scene when the guy started to sing. Wow~

A really massive crowd concentrating. Don't play play ar!

It's 1.08am and I'm still awake. Z... I gotta finish the 115 PA questions before I hit the sack. Ciao~
